ARIES DTP Studentship Proposals
Please carefully read the instructions below and ensure that you complete the correct form(s). ARIES operates a two-stage project proposal consideration process. Links to all forms may be found in the text or at the bottom of the page.
Stage 1: Institutional Sift
Primary Investigators (PIs)/Primary Supervisors should read and consider the ARIES DTP Studentship Proposals Instructions 2025 Intake. Supervisory teams are required to first submit the ARIES DTP Studentship Proposal Indicative Form 2025 and the ARIES DTP Research Costs Form 2025 to their institutional sift. If successful, they will be required to complete the full ARIES Online Form for their proposal to be ratified by the ARIES Strategy Board. Please note that institutional deadlines will be communicated by your institutional representatives.
Please note that all Primary Supervisors are required to read and sign the ARIES Supervisory Charter before supervision of an ARIES PGR is approved.
Institutional Sift Panels should abide by the ARIES Institutional Sift Panel Instructions 2025 Intake and Sift panel chairs/institutional representatives to the ARIES Strategy Board are required to send a completed ARIES Institutional Sift Report Form 2025 Intake to aries.dtp@uea.ac.uk by the deadline (midday, 10th September 2024).
Stage 2: Consideration by ARIES Strategy Board
Following approval by the Institutional Sift Panel, PIs are invited to submit their proposal to ARIES via the ARIES Online Form and upload all supporting information and the Research Costs Form to the OneDrive Server by midday, 13th September 2024.
Each proposal will be scrutinised by the ARIES Strategy Board to ensure compliance with all DTP policies and terms, conditions, and criteria. The research cost forms will also be examined and ratified.
Following ratification, PIs will be notified of success by the ARIES Office, and proposals will be advertised on the ARIES webpage, and forwarded to Institutional administrative teams to coordinate advertising via institutional channels.
