I started my PhD at School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia in January 2019. Before joining UEA, I obtained my Bachelor Degree of Science in Marine Sciences at the Ocean University of China.
My current research focuses on the process of eddy energetics. Specifically, I seek to understand causes and impacts of the annual cycle of eddy energy.

PhD title: The annual cycle of ocean eddy energy: its causes and impacts
My PhD project aims to advance the understanding of the key physical causes and dynamical impacts of the ocean eddy energy annual cycle.
Specifically, we aim to investigate what mechanism may cause the seasonal variation of eddy energy and whether the annual cycle of eddy energy has any effect on other oceanic processes.
