PhD title: Collective construction of responsible and explainable AI for sustainable connected home technologies
As part of the wider GECKO EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network consortium, this project aims to co-design, develop and test responsible and explainable artificial intelligence (AI) for sustainable connected home technologies (CHTs). Drawing on co-design methodologies, the objectives are: (1) Undertake literature review on design challenges for responsible and explainable AI for sustainable CHTs; (2) conduct reflexive interviews with experts and (if relevant) living lab households on responsible and explainable AI for sustainable CHTs; (3) Develop cross-national survey on public/user perceptions of responsible AI in CHTs; (4) develop and trial design protocols and scripts for responsible and explainable AI for sustainable CHTs.
